Core Objectives
1. Regulatory Advocacy and Compliance Support
• Work with regulatory authorities to ensure fair treatment for both marketing and manufacturing companies, particularly concerning recent amendments to the Drug and Cosmetic Act (2021). This includes advocating against unfair liabilities placed on marketing companies for manufacturing defects.
• Develop internal frameworks to ensure quality standards are upheld, preventing issues with substandard drugs and strengthening member compliance.
2. Promoting Fair Pricing with NPPA
• Address pricing concerns and disputes with the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) through a dedicated task force, working to establish fair pricing regulations that reflect the operational realities of our members.
3. Addressing Payment Default Issues
• Implement a nationwide blacklist for payment defaulters to protect our members’ financial interests, fostering a more secure business environment for all stakeholders.
4. Forging Alliances with Key Associations
• Build partnerships with industry associations such as AICOD, HSCDA, PSCDA, and the Himachal Drug Manufacturer Association, aligning objectives and strengthening our unified voice for effective industry representation.
5. Uniting Stakeholders Across the Industry
• Encourage manufacturers, marketers, and traders across India to come together on a single platform. By collaborating, we can amplify our efforts to support industry development, tackle common challenges, and create a more resilient ecosystem.
